Typically, in Georgia, a debt defense case begins when a Sheriff or a private process server leaves court papers with you or at your home. You usually have only thirty (30) days from the day the papers are left before your first deadline to file papers with the Court. (There are often other deadlines throughout the case, and missing the first deadline may mean you never hear when the court will decide your case.) The firm can assess your possible defenses, and based upon our experience from years of defending cases and dealing with most major collection firms, plan and execute a course of action to resolve your case. We offer a telephone consultation at no cost to you, and in debt defense cases, we generally will quote you a flat fee to handle your case through its conclusion.
